2025 is the first year in which the descendants have collectively commemorated their fathers history and bravery
May 18th Plugonvelin Brittany
Mike Sauvage and his wife Karen attended a memory days memorial service at Association Au Marins held at the Cenotaph at Pointe St Mathieu near Plugonvelin in Brittany where the names of the crew members lost on Mikes fathers ship Chasseur 5 Carentan were read out
May 29th Marvins Yard Cowes
Descendants who were able to attend were invited by the owner to visit Marvins Yard where the Chasseurs were based from February 1941

July 13th Chasseur 8 Rennes
Flowers were laid by Michel L’Hours and Margaret Prior (Friends of O.R.P. Blyskawica Society) at the Cowes Memorial in remembrance of the loss of chasseur 8 Rennes
A list of the crew members lost was posted alongside the memorial plaque.
July 20th Shanklin Chine Isle of Wight
A Royal Marines memorial service was held at Shanklin Chine to commemorate those
men who trained on the Isle of Wight in preparation for Operation Jubilee, the Dieppe raid.
A wreath was laid by Michel L’Hours son of Pierre L’Hours and Jackie Hough daughter of Albert Quesnee in memory of the Free French Navy who transported the Royal Marines and Canadian Infantry to Dieppe, gave covering fire and smokescreened the the raid and assisted in the recovery of many troops
August 19th Dieppe
A Free French descendants party accompanied the Royal Marines 1942-46 Association
to Dieppe to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the raid. A wreath was laid by Michel L’Hours Son of Pierre L’Hours and Jackie Hough daughter of Albert Quesnee both were crew on Chasseur 10 Bayonne during the raid
December 21st Chasseur 5 Carentan
A wreath was laid by Michel L’Hours and his wife Janice to commemorate the Loss of Chasseur 5 Carentan which capsized during a storm on the same day in 1943
A plan to post a crew list was abandoned due to the low temperature
