Some role/rank descriptions are translated from the source and may not align with the formal

Ranks shown are those attained during the entire war and may not reflect the crewmembers grade whilst serving on the Chasseurs.

Some ships appear to have larger compliments, this is due to more lists being discovered for  some vessels e.g. Chasseur 41 which lists 42 FNFL and 4 R.N crew members, this number is spread throughout the war. Hopefully more lists will be discovered as time goes on.

These lists will not include all crew members, many appear on more than one ship, hence some compliments appear reduced, this is in an attempt to avoid duplication.

They show, where it is known the ships  compliment for the period covering the entire war.

Chasseur 5 Carentan
The link below will show the crew lost in the sinking, the content of the list in the link has been reproduced to show those personnel assigned to Carentan whilst she was in service but also indicates those not lost in the sinking. (27)
The second list shows the largely British crew who took part in the Dieppe raid the previous year. (20 Sydney Goodall appears in both lists)
The third list shows crew members who were assigned to Chasseur 5 but do not fit in to the other lists. (2)

Chasseur 5 was in Cowes from March 1943  she capsized during a gale off Swanage  on the 21st December 1943.

She gave active support during the Cowes blitz on the night of the 4th & 5th May 1942 with one rating killed in action.

She was lost due to bombing off the Lizard 13th July 1942 with all hands but one lost. 26.

she took part in the Bruneval raid 28th February 1942 and the  Dieppe raid 19th August 1942. 

 she shot down 1 plane at Dieppe and damaged one other. Saved crew of mined cargo vessel "Frode" 11th April 1943.

Chasseur 12 was in Cowes during the blitz of the night of the 4th &  5th of May 1942 being fitted out, she would re-enter service later that year. (14)

During D-Day she escorted pipelaying ships for Operation Pluto, according to Pierre L'Hours their most dangerous mission of the war, laying speed was 2 knots their orders were that if they came under attack they had to stay put and be "Sitting Ducks". Fortunately they did not come under fire.

She left Cowes for  Brest in February 1945.

Chasseur 42 was in Cowes from June 1941. (13)

She took part in the defence of  Portsmouth during bombing on the  11th April 1941.

She shot down a Heinkel on the 9th June 1941.

She took part in the Bruneval raid on the 28th February 1942 and  the Dieppe raid on the 

19th August 1942.

She left for French Equatorial Africa on the 11th September 1942.

Chasseur 43 was in Cowes from June 1941. (29)

On 13th May 1941 she fought off an air attack on the "André Blondel" which was on loan to Trinity House East Cowes in her role as a Buoy layer.

She shot down 2  planes 31st May 1942.

She took part in the Dieppe raid 19th August 1942 when she shot down  further 2 planes.

She badly damaged a U Boat in December 1942, the U Boat was finished off later by  a R.N. Destroyer.

She left Cowes for French Equatorial Africa 11th September 1942.

La Diligente

Was a WW1 gunboat of 315 tons. Listed by R.N. as a base ship for the  Chasseurs  from June 1941 to July 1945. (2 Paul Accarias also list in base personnel)

Also used by the French Navy to assist in evacuation of Dunkirk  and served at Vlissingen in 1940
